  1. NCAA
1.The main ethical dilemma in this case is that the athletic trainer is being told not to tell the athletic director about the athletes violating a rule because the coach said he believes their boys story.
2.The athletic trainer should tell the athletic director because that is what she is required to do. If she doesn't tell him and he some how finds out about what happened. Then learns that she knew the whole time she can get in trouble.
3.What could have changed in this situation is she could have went straight to the athletic director and told him the whole situation so he could confront the coach and players.
4.There really isn't any other way of dealing with this issue the best thing to do is tell someone of higher power about the situation.
    Curriculum Director
1.The ethical issue here is that the curriculum director has a student that meets all the requirements and a student who does not. But the student who does not meet the requirements has parents who donate a large amount of money to the school. He is told to let the student that doesn't meet the requirements into the program.
2.The curriculum director should not let the student into the program because it is not fare to the student has put in all the time and effort into meeting the requirements.
3.What could have been done to prevent this issue from happening is making her go through multiple directors so they have more then one opinion.
    4. I believe the only way to deal with this issue is to do what you believe in and stick by your choice. If the President fires you can always find another job and you won't have a guilty conscious.

  2. 1. The dilemma here is the athletic trainer faces a predicament of whether or not to tell the AD about the violation the players did. She knows they committed a violation however the coach is siding with the story they fabricated so the trainer is very conflicted on this matter.
    2. If I was her, I would tell the athletic director because I would not want to be part of this lie and it would reflect really badly on her if it was found out that she kept this secret when it is her duty to tell. Also, the players should not get let off the hook for the violations they committed.
    3. A way to prevent this issue is she should have consulted the AD immediately and let him take care of whatever needed to be done.
    4. No, I cannot think of any other good solution that would handle the situation.
    1. The issue here is the director is sure which student to let into school. Ut appears clear cut as one student meets the standards and one does not, however the one that doesn't has parents who give a lot of money to the school. He was advised to accept the kid whose parents donate a lot of money and he knows that is not the right thing to do.
    2. He should most definitely accept the kid who meets the standards because he actually deserves to get in, opposed to the other kid who does not deserve to at all.
    3. A way to prevent this issue is to show them the guidelines of the requirements needed to get in and that should be enough reason in itself to not make this an issue since the other kid does not meet those requirements. If he met the requirements I could see why it would be an issue since then the prevailing factor could be that his parents are donors but since he does not meet standards there shouldn't even be questioning who to let in.
    4. There is no other way to handle this but do what is morally right and let the kid in who meets the requirements.
